She also asked me what I played with as a kid if technology is such a recent invention, implying that before gadgets, there were no toys and all we did was homework and chase ants in our back yard. I was besotted with Subbuteo, played every day, that was action at its best. I would glue and reglue them until they were standing on their knees, but the matches were thrilling.
